Further south is the Coral Coast and a traveller should visit both Monkey Mia and Ningaloo reef which are famous for their dolphins and whale sharks. The city of Perth, which is the capital, is located on the west coast and this is the home of most Western Australians. It is a magnificent city set on the banks of the Swan River and its ocean front lined with spectacular beaches. The Swan Valley is carpeted with wild flowers and many tourists come here just to witness this display. In the South Western corner there is plenty of spectacular scenery and magnificent coastline to explore. Pemberton is home to the giant karri and Jarrah forests. Albany and Esperence have magnificent coastal scenery and Margaret River is the home of the western Australian wine industry.
